Can mortal enemies co-exist or even play together? Sharma, an ex-Green Archer, is teamed up with former King Blue Eagle Enrico Villanueva for the first time after coach Yeng Guiao picked him up in the free agent market. But more than the rivalry, Guiao probably saw something on the 6’7 center that’s why he gave him another shot in the league.
Used sparingly in Shell during the 2004-05 season where he averaged just 1.5 points, Sharma had a brief stint with the Tigers at the end of that season and hardly made an impact early as he was relegated to the back-up role. But the bruiser came back with a bang and has been in the regular rotation for Guiao and even started for some games, churning in double figures in points and rebounds in some occasions. His perseverance to play again in the big league paid off but he has to control his temper to make him more viable in the PBA.
